What is WOTTs?

WOTT = Women of Titus Two:
"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Titus 2:3-5

As we raise our children and walk through this life it is our calling to be there for each other. This play group is so many things for me and I suppose to fully explain its purpose I need to start at the beginning.

When I had my first daughter I was 19. I felt very alone. Other than my mother I didn't have anyone to go to for parenting advice or any advice really. Most of my friends were single and off at college or working full time. I knew no other stay-at-home moms. I remember long days of daytime TV and diapers. When Matt got home from work the last thing he wanted to talk about was laundry, meal plans & onsies. Then one day I walked to the park and discovered to joy in fellowship with other moms. One ordinary Wednesday morning I struck up a conversation with another young mom while pushing our babies in the swings. We talked for almost an hour. I never asked for her phone number and didn't offer mine but hope stirred.

Fast forward 6 years and I found myself once again longing for fellowship during the day while I took care of my preschooler at home. I spoke with another mom of a 3 year old at church and we agreed this was a growing need in our community. Add in a sermon covering Titus chapter 2 and our little group was born. WOTTs has been meeting on a regular basis for 3 years now and it's stronger than ever. I'm so incredibly blessed to have this amazing group of mothers who share my struggles and victories! It is a place for women, young, old, married or single, to connect with each other and raise one another up to be the women we were created to be.
